What if – Quantum Entanglement

What if we are all connected? It’s been part of certain religions and beliefs as far back as we know. The feeling that we are connected to each other, connected to the trees and the birds, connected to our mother Earth.

I won’t try to explain it all, but the basic concept of Quantum Entanglement or what Einstein once labeled “spooky action at a distance” is that two particles remain linked to each other such that the change in state of one particle gets reflected in the other instantaneously no matter the distances between the particles.

In a certain regard, the particles we are comprised of come for the same origin. Therefore, it’s interesting to wonder if our particles are somehow entangled. We may not realize it or be able to access the connection, but we could all be connected at the quantum level. And not just to each other, but to all matter.

What if we could access that connection? What if some of those crazy stories of people “feeling” danger to a loved one miles away could be explained by that connection. Or the connection between two long-time acquaintances? How about the ancient’s belief in our connection to Mother Earth?

Quantum opens a lot of interesting questions which I’ll probably explore more later such as extra dimensions, impact on consciousness, and others.

The point is that there may not be such a huge chasm between the spiritual and scientific worlds as we think. Maybe the “intuition” that drove our ancestors religious beliefs is actually some innate understanding of how the universe actually works that they just couldn’t articulate without the scientific understanding and corresponding vernacular we are beginning to develop.
